It Was the Dad

I guess in some sick way, I'm glad it was the dad. When they said the girls were not sexually assaulted, just stabbed, that seemed so out of whack that it opened new vistas of parental terror. Not that the idea of your child being sexually assaulted and then murdered is not terrifying, just that it is tragically familiar. Random killings of second graders in the woods would take us to new frontiers of horror, and I'm glad we don't have to go there. Then again, I guess we have been there with the Atlanta child murders. And fathers killing their daughters is horrifying enough.

Cheery blogging for a cheery world...
