Front page headlines are announcing that yesterday was the worst day of the war so far for U.S. casualties: 37 troops killed, making a total of 1,413 since the beginning of the war. It's terrible to contemplate, as one who has not been personally affected, and it must be inconceivably worse to live, if you loved one of those 1,413.
But I can't forget the numbers we never seem to see: between 15,500 and 17, 700 dead Iraqis. Headlines, anyone?
