I can't really form a legging opinion because I'm too busy trying to regroup after seeing their serious faces and reading those quotes. Love having a peek them in the past, trying to imagine their future.
if it were me I might regret the shoes more than the leggings, but she can pretty much wear anything in my book. (Besides I think I was wearing leggings then, too--or at least in 1993 and 4 I was.)
What Obama says about his relationship with Michelle is beautiful. It's what I think a marriage should be. As for the leggings, 1996 was a little late (or a decade too early depending on how you look at it) to be wearing leggings unless she was going to yoga or doing yoga at home maybe? I also wonder how long her shirt was. That can make all the difference. And GEEZE her legs are long.
A hopelessly feminist intellectual blogs about kids, books, celebrities, knitting, politics, pop culture, the Red Sox, and whatever else strikes her fancy.

Absolutely not. Leggings make perfect sense in the right (say 1993) context.
