Pedicular Distress

My new sandals? The adorable, comfortable Borns (from DSW, so not even that expensive)?

I'm allergic to them.

allergic to sandals? tragic! (I'd take them off your hands if I thought they were even remotely close to my size...but my feet are way bigger than yours. sigh)

Not to be too opportunistic, but what size do you wear? Those are very cute!

Also, how exactly how are you allergic to sandals?!

OMG.....I had this same reaction to Born sandals....swollen itchy strip under the sandal strap....stopped wearing them it went away. Wore them again and it came back worse and scaly itchy strips under the straps. They don't hurt anymore but there is a red scarred area on the top of my feet. Started after I got the sandals wet. Before then I had no problem. Have you figured what might be causing it? TooMignon@socal.rr.com

I think I may have found something....
Dimethyl fumerate (DMF) is an anti-fungal compound used by Chinese manufacturers during transport of leather goods that has been linked to these type of "burns" in leather goods. Mine were made in China...were yours?
No more chinese leather products!!
