Reading the Signs

How my children express their feelings about their father being at work five nights a week and only getting to see him at breakfast:

- Attitude and resistance (M, but luckily it's slowing down)

- Clinging to Mommy (E, and it only seems to get worse when Daddy is around)

- Hypochondria (both--every cut is the equivalent of a quadruple fracture with the bone sticking out of the skin, and the stomachaches, my god, the stomachaches...)

It would be so much easier if they would just say, "I miss Daddy."

Gawd, it's so hard going through big changes like that. Hope they smooth out (come to their senses) soon!

If ya didn't spoil them like that and jest told 'em ta quit havin so many feelings they'd do a lot better.

Or, in the alternative, if you must continue to indulge, could breakfast be really really long?
