My Little Public School Brainwashee
E: We're doing the funnest thing in morning work today! There are these parts of a turkey and we get to cut them out, put them together, and color them!
The one year I was in public school was first grade--and we had holiday coloring-book pages ALL THE TIME--it was one of my favorite things, I must confess--the very neat and pretty and put-together girls colored in a special way that involved making a dark outline and then very lightly shading in the middle--I always aspired to this but got carried away and instead filled everything in with a very thick solid waxy layer of crayon! But it is more exciting, along the same lines, to make luridly iced cupcakes--same sort of pleasure...
A hopelessly feminist intellectual blogs about kids, books, celebrities, knitting, politics, pop culture, the Red Sox, and whatever else strikes her fancy.
