Sorority Scandal

I'm not much for sororities, but I happen to know a bunch of Delta Zetas (including one of M's favorite babysitters ever) and they are the smartest, most feminist women who've ever overturned my sorority stereotypes. But clearly the Delta Zeta national officers don't appreciate what they've got going for them, and would rather play into those stereotypes. Ugh.

There were no sororities at the college I attended, but other schools nearby had fraternities and sororities. They were bad karma. The essence is exclusion and the togetherness becomes distinctly like a high school clique, now validated with a name, a house, and a buncha other crap.

I'm glad some people have positive experiences; I cannot understand officially rejecting people from a social group.
