My friend A. (a single mother with an extremely demanding job, she never sleeps & loves coffee more than most people) was mortified when she took her four-year-old to a checkup, you know how they use those non-letter eye charts for pre-reading children, and he went along saying "star, circle, star" until he got to the picture of the little cup with the handle and said "coffee"! she swears the pediatrician gave her an extremely reproachful look....
