Is Allegra Goodman the anti-Ayelet?
(Please, someone, anyone, appreciate this thought!)
(I didn't think as much of The Family Markowitz as everyone else did, loved Kaaterskill Falls, and was kind of awed by the ambitious chaos of Paradise Park.)
(And how lucky is she to have a novel about a scientist faking data coming out this spring?!)

I get it! Jewish, "unedited therapy sessions," "I try to protect the people I love."
Man. Too bad, I still heart Ayelet.
Ayelet is fascinating to me! On the one hand, I sometimes find myself kind of appalled at how little she seems to censor herself. On the other hand, I can't help but admire someone who is willing to be that honest about herself.
